Letsile Tebogo beats another US dominated field to win Diamond League in Zurich

Motwana sprint Lord – Letsile Tegobo is gradually becoming a thorn in the flesh of United State of America sprinters having dominated the trio of Kenny Bednarek, Erriyon Knighton and Fred Kerley on Thursday, September 05 to win the men’s 200m in Zurich.

Tebogo, a former footballer nicknamed ‘Schoolboy’ seems to have the Midas touch right now when it comes to the 200m cruising to back-to-back wins.

Running is lane 6, the Paris 2024 Olympic Games gold medallist [Tebogo] who was in fourth position after the curve demonstrated another sprint masterclass in the last 80 metres to finish in 19.55 [0.4], ahead of Kenny Bednarek [19.57], Erriyon Knighton [19.79], and Fred Kerley [19.81] respectively.

In the women’s 100m, however, Sha’Carri Richardson of the United States became the first woman to beat Julien Alfred post the Paris 2024 Summer Games.

The Olympic gold medallist [Alfred] had a good start, but Richardson produced a flying finish, crossing the line in 10.84 [0.1], ahead of Julien Alfred’s 10.88 and Dina Asher-Smith [10.89].
